Loved the photos I was able to get of this little sweetheart as her Long Grove Illinois newborn photographer! Grandma found my work and I got to see miss Navy for baby pictures when she was twelve days old. What a cutie! I think she must have enjoyed the session as much as I did, because we got some sweet baby smiles out of her.
Navy’s hair liked to do its own thing–which was mostly an adorable, feathery little mohawk over to one side. My theory is, baby hair is the best, so why try to fix something that’s perfect as is? I also loved her little button nose!
I really like the earth tones we chose for Navy’s newborn photography session. As a Long Grove Illinois newborn photographer, I’m used to seeing lots of pink and white for girls. But the soft beiges and browns, paired with a little bit of cream and mauve, ended up being so beautiful! It had a really sweet, old-fashioned feel to me, which we accentuated rustic buckets, textured fabrics, and little accents like flowers and pearls. Just goes to show that you can get creative. Traditional ‘girly’ colors are wonderful, but you can also think outside the box and create very feminine images without them.
