Finding a photographer that is right for you takes time and patience. Along with that comes questions. Here are the more frequent questions people ask when booking with Agata Brannon Photography
- How to book a session? So you like what you’ve seen and are ready to book? Use the form on the Contact me tab to get in touch with me. My assistant or I will respond to your inquiry within 1-48 hours with any questions and available session dates. In order to finalize the booking process and reserve your session date on my calendar, a signed contract and $200 non-refundable retainer must be received. The remaining session fee balance is due before or at the time of your session.
- What’s included in the session fee? photographer’s time and talent, post processing of images, online gallery and a Digital Download of high resolution images.
- When will I receive my images? Galleries are provided within 21-28 days of session and/or final payment date, and are available for viewing for 7 days thereafter
- When is the ideal time to have a newborn session? When you book with Agata Brannon Photography, we take down your due date, understanding that babies come when they want to come. We will schedule your session within the first 2 weeks after Baby is born.
- Do I need to bring props to my newborn session? No-I have SO many props for you to choose from! If you are planning a sitter session, I have a limited amount of props, so if you have something specific in mind, please bring to your session.
- What can I expect during newborn session? Upon scheduling a newborn session, I’ll send you a session info guide that includes lots of information about what to do before and what to expect at your newborn session.
- What can I expect during family session? I like to keep family sessions as relaxed and fun as possible. Time with me will be captured in a lifestyle format and include a variety of posed and un-posed images. I’ll do some posing, some guiding, and lots of shooting as your family interacts with one another. My goal is to help everyone feel as comfortable as possible so that we capture the best and most real you. At the end of the session, I want you to have had an enjoyable experience and images you’ll cherish forever!
- Where do you shoot outdoor family sessions? I have a many beautiful chosen locations in the northwest Chicago suburbs, we can discuss when you book!
- Do you have maternity gowns I can use? Absolutely! Please browse my website portfolio, Facebook and Instagram for more information (some dresses are not mine, so please ask beforehand).
- Do you provide hair and make-up? I do not, but could send along some recommendations
- Do you have family sessions in studio? Newborn sessions can include immediate family members, if you choose that package. Otherwise, family sessions are held outdoors.
- What happens if I need to reschedule? There is no penalty for a reschedule due to illness (just let me know ASAP)…we will accommodate as we can.
- What if it rains? An outdoor session will be rescheduled due to inclement weather by judgment of photographer.
- Do you offer event photography, or large family sessions? I do not, but can send preferred photographers that offer these sessions

A little life update 🤍
I wanted to share a little personal update since some of you may have noticed that I’ve been a bit slower than usual lately.
I’ve been dealing with a health issue affecting my nerves over the past several weeks. It’s caused quite a bit of pain and has left me more tired than usual. I’m medically cleared to continue working, but I’m still not feeling 100%.
If I seem a little tired or if I take a little longer to respond to an email or get a proof gallery back to you, I just wanted you to know there’s a reason. As a one-woman business, I’m the person behind everything — from your emails and sessions to editing and delivering your galleries. I’m still working away behind the scenes and giving every session and gallery the same care and attention I always do; I may just need a little extra time right now.
I’m working from home today and will be catching up on emails and sending out several proof galleries throughout the day. 🤍
Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness while I get back to feeling like myself. It truly means a lot 🫶
And now for some happier news…
Hello Fall Minis are returning!
The vintage truck is coming back, sessions will be held at a farm in Crystal Lake on Saturday, October 3rd. The booking link has been open for a couple of days now, and some of you have already grabbed your spot! There are still four spots available.
Santa is returning!
Santa sessions will be held on Sunday, November 15th and Sunday, November 29th. The booking link isn’t live just yet, but I already have a long VIP list. If you’d like to be notified before the link goes public, send me a message and I’ll add you to the list.
More fall minis?
Depending on how I’m feeling throughout September, I may add another date for regular fall minis in October. I’ll keep you posted!

And then… Santa is coming to town! 🎅🏻✨
Santa will be visiting the studio on Sunday, November 15th and Sunday, November 29th.
Both of these sessions were a huge hit last year and sold out very quickly, so if you’ve been waiting for them, keep an eye on this page for all the details and booking information!
I also wanted to pop on here and share a little life update because I know I haven’t posted much this summer. This summer ended up being much busier with studio sessions than I anticipated. I had intentionally scaled back and no longer schedule family sessions during the spring and summer months, with my outdoor family season beginning in mid-August and running through the first week of November.
Even with scaling back, I somehow still managed to fill all of those dates. 🫶🏻 I’m so incredibly grateful — especially for all of my families who return year after year. Getting to watch your families grow and being trusted to document those milestones year after year truly means more to me than I can say.
The last few weeks have also been a little challenging personally as I’ve been working through some medical issues, while simultaneously sending my daughter off to college for her second year. I spent some time with her in Alabama helping move her in, getting everything set up, and soaking up those last moments together while she was busy with sorority recruitment. It was a lot all at once, but I’m so grateful I was able to be there with her.
So, if I’ve been a little quiet around here, that’s where I’ve been. I’m still here, still photographing, and I have SO many beautiful newborn and milestone sessions from this summer that I’m excited to finally start sharing with you.
Thank you for being here, for continuing to support my little business, and for allowing me to document so many beautiful moments for your families. It truly means the world 🫶
