Recently, this 7 day new baby boy came to my Chicago area studio for a newborn session. Now, I am a Lake County newborn photographer, but get clients from the city, including this guy.
To begin, we used a lot of adorable props at his session. Here, we started with the mini bed set up. Next ,we moved to the bean bag for some tummy time posing. Here, we were able to get the froggy pose, since he was so sleepy. Then, we moved back to the wood backdrop for a comfy, green outfit. Also, all the outfits, props, hats, headbands, wraps are all available at your studio newborn session. Fortunately, I have several options for baby boy and baby girl. Now, as a Lake County newborn photographer, I love all my props, and introduce new ones all the time. And, this little bucket was new, and he fit in just perfect! Here, sleepy boy was perfect to cuddle up in an egg wrap pose on this green that looks just great with his skin and hair tones! Here, I am obsessed with this little outfit on him! Now, I have several different color schemes with outfits, wraps, blankets and hats for you to choose from. Beforehand, I will send a questionnaire for you to fill out, to learn what colors you like and don’t like. And, this bed set up, with his squishy cheeks on that pillow is just too much! This sweet little boy has already shown so much strength in his young life 💙
Born at just 29 weeks, he spent the first two months of his journey in the NICU growing stronger every day. Because of his early arrival, his family didn’t have the opportunity to capture traditional newborn photos during those first weeks at home.
But one of the things I always tell parents is that it’s never too late to document your baby’s story.
At five months old, with an adjusted age of just 10 weeks, he was the perfect little model. We captured so many beautiful smiles, sweet family moments, and all the precious details that make this season of life so special.
Whether your baby is a few days old, a few weeks old, or a few months old, there is beauty worth preserving at every stage. These first moments don’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful—they simply need to be remembered.
