Recently, this 16 day new baby girl came to my studio for a newborn photo shoot. As you will see, she was a wonderful baby to work with. And, as a baby photographer 60047, I love a sleeping baby!

Now, she was just the perfect little baby, easy to pose and slept for her session! Now, don’t worry about your little one not cooperating at your newborn session with me. Luckily, I have lots of tips and tricks I will share with you beforehand to make it a smooth, easy session! Also, I have been doing this for years, so I have my own tips and tricks to help calm babies if they wake or are not having it!

To begin, we started with a white bowl, with white wraps, hat and backdrop for a neutral, classic look.

Here, we went with the wood tones, in a wood basket, for an earthy feel. And, added in some floral for this beautiful baby girl!

Then, we went with some pink tones, and a cute little elephant stuffed animal. Fortunately, this perfect little girl was sound asleep the whole session, and let us do what we wanted with her sleepy poses.

This sweet family found me through friends who had just done their newborn session with me, and after seeing their images, they fell in love with my work. They were really hoping to get on my schedule, but had one big concern… their baby was already a little older than the typical “newborn window,” and they weren’t sure if we’d still be able to achieve those soft, classic newborn poses.
