Got some great baby pics during this Chicago newborn photoshoot! Baby Saige was actually a bit fussy for most of the session, but you would never know it to look at our finished images. Parents sometimes worry about their little one not cooperating during the shoot, but it almost always works out just fine. Between a quick shutter finger and my baby whisperer skills, I can create beautiful photos for you–even if baby isn’t really feeling it that day.
Because of Saige’s name, I couldn’t resist throwing some green and foliage in there! It ended up going really nicely with her skin tone. And, as you can see, even with a fussy baby, we captured a sweet, sleepy smile!
And of course, you can’t go wrong with pink! Because newborns often like being swaddled, we tried some swaddle poses with Saige to see if it would help her relax at all. It seems to be working!
The obligatory bucket shot, naturally! Yep, I did just happen to have one in green. I love collecting props in all different styles and colors. I want to make sure we have plenty of variety so we can create the perfect setup.
Saige was absolutely beautiful with her dark hair and perfect skin.

I’m so glad this family found me and asked me to do their little one’s Chicago newborn photoshoot. Although they’re from the area, Mom actually found me through a referral from another photographer she follows on Instagram–who happens to be from Texas!
