Timeless Props
No cheap or flimsy props here! I love antiquing and use high quality vintage props to help tell your family’s story. Items like these have lasted this long because we continue to see value in them (honestly, the older they are the more beautiful they seem to be) and they can help ground your photos and give them a timeless feel.
Classic Colors
Color is very much a matter of personal preference, so I’m always happy to use your personal favorites. However, left to my own devices, I gravitate toward neutrals and rich earth tones. Yes, they’re having a moment right now, but these colors come back into fashion again and again because they are classics!
Focus on Baby
The most important part of any newborn photography session is your sweet baby. While I do use props and poses to enhance your session, these are never allowed to take center stage or be a distraction. I always keep my focus on your little one, and I love capturing relationships between family members too. These are the things that will last forever!
Natural Light
There are a lot of things that set a professional newborn photographer apart from an amateur, but one of the biggest? Their use of light! I love natural light and go to great lengths to ensure that all of my photos use that pretty glow to best advantage.
