Welcoming sweet baby Eli, 8 days new and absolutely perfect!
It was such an honor to photograph this beautiful family, capturing their love and joy during a studio lifestyle newborn session. They were referred to me by some previous clients—which made me so happy! It truly means the world when families think so highly of my work that they spread the word and recommend me to others.
This family lives in Northbrook, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, so my studio in Long Grove wasn’t too far for them to drive. It’s always nice when you find a baby photographer relatively close by, especially since a newborn photoshoot is often one of baby’s first outings. While it’s absolutely worth the trip to see a photographer you love, it’s definitely a bonus when the photographer whose style you fall in love with is within easy driving distance!
Mom told me she likes neutral and earth tones, so we felt that a warm and cozy lifestyle setup would be the perfect choice for Eli’s session. I have lots of blankets, pillows, and rugs that I like to pull out for these types of sessions, to make the studio feel like a home away from home. And I always think that adding a few plants makes it that much more homey!
As well as mom and dad, we were also joined by Eli’s big brother, who was such a cutie! Watching him hold his new baby brother and seeing the love between them all was truly heartwarming. I love being able to capture the instant connection and bond that family members feel when they welcome a new little one. It is such a beautiful thing!
