There is nothing I love better than seeing one of my families back in my Long Grove portrait studio with a new little bundle in their arms! This family didn’t even have to look for baby photography in Palatine this time around—they knew exactly where to go. I photographed little Sebastian’s brother as a newborn and also did Mom’s maternity pictures, so their visit to my studio was just like getting together with old friends.
Sebastian was 7 days new at the time of his newborn photoshoot, which is right in the middle of that perfect window I recommend. I like to schedule sessions for sometime within two weeks after baby is born. This just gives us the best chance at beautiful baby pictures! Your little one is likely to be sleeping a lot at this age, which always makes photos easier. And they are still very flexible, so certain poses are only possible to achieve in the first couple of weeks after birth.
That said, you are always welcome to reach out to me even if your baby is a little older, or if they have already arrived and you are hoping for a last-minute booking. I can’t make any promises, but I am always happy to welcome littles ones to my studio if I have space on my calendar.
This Palatine family decided on my pure newborn collection. We used a few of my favorite baskets, a cute mobile, tons of cozy blankets, and my white distressed crib (a studio favorite) for our props. Sebastian was an absolute champion for me. So sweet and sleepy!
