I am so glad Reagan’s mom found me in her search for a North Shore Chicago newborn photographer! Baby girl Reagan was just a dream and slept really good for me. This is one reason I recommend parents bring their new baby to see within the first two weeks after birth. We want baby nice and sleepy during their photoshoot so we can get all those precious poses!
Preparing for Your Newborn Session
Before Reagan’s session, I sent her parents a questionnaire so I knew which colors and props would work best for them. I like to do this before my newborn sessions so that I can prepare the right look for you. We’ll also discuss tips and tricks for getting baby ready so they’re as relaxed and sleepy as possible. With all my years being a North Shore Chicago newborn photographer, I have lots of ideas for you! This mom and dad obviously followed my instructions to the letter because, as I said, Reagan was the happiest, sleepiest baby girl.
My Newborn Photography Style
Whenever families come to me, I make sure that our setups reflect your style and color preferences. Everyone should have newborn photos that are unique and one-of-a-kind. However, I also like to include some neutral setups in each session too. This is so that you can have timeless images that will age well regardless of changes in your home’s décor. (This can also be helpful if you plan to use some of your baby pictures as gifts for grandparents or other family members. They may have a different style than you, but neutral newborn photos will still look wonderful on their walls!)
