This was such a sweet Chicago newborn photography session. I photographed this baby girl’s older sister as a newborn two years ago, so I was excited to meet the newest member of the family!
We did this session during the first week of March–right when all the flowers were popping up! Love this beautiful daisy-themed setup. So perfect for spring.
It’s always fun to play with different textures. This can be an especially great way to add variety to your newborn photos if you’re wanting minimal props or a really neutral color scheme. With baby Emilia, we used lots of lace!
This cutie was seven days old when she visited my Long Grove newborn photo studio. This is right in that sweet spot of the first two weeks of life, which is when I prefer to get babies in for pictures. They are still nice and sleepy at this age, flexible for all those adorable newborn poses, and so brand new!
What an angel! She was so good about posing and I love all the cute images we were able to create.
I was so happy that big sister Izabel was able to join us for photos too! It’s always great to see my little clients back in the studio when they’re not so little. Amazing how fast the time goes. This is one reason I encourage people to invest in newborn photography. It’s such a precious time, and it really will be over before you know it. But professional newborn portraits like these allow you to hold on to that time forever.
