Loved doing these Chicago newborn pictures at the beginning of this month. Baby Luke was such a cutie!
We knew we wanted kind of a rustic look for this baby boy’s newborn pictures, so I got out a couple of my buckets. I have lots of these in various styles. They’re very popular for photos, and can also be combined with different blankets and props for a unique look.
Luke was so sweet and sleepy for me.
Although all of my sessions are customized, you can also make your Chicago newborn pictures even more unique by bringing special items from home. I love it when families bring an heirloom item, homemade blanket, or other treasured keepsake to include in their photos.
In this case, we included a model truck that belonged to Luke’s grandpa. Grandpa decided it was time to pass it on and gifted it to Luke. We used a nice comfy pillow to transform the bed of the truck into–well, a bed! Love it.
Newborn portraits are always fun, but it’s also fun to change things up with some detail shots. I love capturing those tiny baby fingers and toes with closeups. Is there anything cuter than that?
