Can’t wait to share the images from this Chicago newborn photography session. Baby Hailey was the cutest thing ever! I had been looking forward to meeting her for a while, since I did her mom’s maternity photo session too.
This little sweetheart was fourteen days old when I met her, which is ideal for newborn photography. I try to schedule newborns to come to my cozy photo studio in downtown Long Grove during their first two weeks. Babies at this age are nice and sleepy, still have perfect newborn skin, and are super flexible for all those cute newborn poses!
A Ray of Sunshine
Loved the bright, cheerful colors we picked out for Hailey. Pink is always popular for baby girls, but this yellow was so happy and warm. I love to try things that are a little bit different! We also did a couple of earth-toned shots with green and brown. This is much more common for boys, but I love it for a baby girl!
We did lots of swaddles–which babies this age tend to really like–and also got to try some of my basket and bucket props. These are always really popular–who can resist a baby asleep in a bucket? I’m always on the lookout for fun props like these to add some whimsy and interest to your Chicago newborn photography session!
It was wonderful to have sweet little Hailey in the studio last month–I hope you enjoy looking through her photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
