Recently, this 17 day new baby came to my studio for a photo shoot. Fortunately, I had an opening, as this was a last minute booking. Sometimes, it is just worth the try to ask and find out! And, as a Winnetka photographer, you never know what my schedule will look like from month to month.
To begin, this sleepy little angel baby was so easy to work with. Here, he was so comfy cozy being posed on the bean bag set up.Next, we had to go with a basket set up. And, I am so glad we did! Then, we added in some greens, with a wrap and some fuzziness in the bowl pose.Here, since his parents like the green tones, we went with another green pose on the bean bag. Now, I try to get several different set ups and poses at each newborn session . And, as a Winnetka photographer, I will try and use poses that you have specifically seen in my portfolio, if you ask for them, if baby is cooperating. Now, I love this set up, with the detailed blanket, the little eared hat, and some floral for a simple touch.Again, because this little guy was just sound asleep and so easy, I was able to get baby parts with the macro lens. This sweet family found me through friends who had just done their newborn session with me, and after seeing their images, they fell in love with my work. They were really hoping to get on my schedule, but had one big concern… their baby was already a little older than the typical “newborn window,” and they weren’t sure if we’d still be able to achieve those soft, classic newborn poses.
I reassured them—and their little one proved us all right 💛 He was absolutely perfect… so calm, so cozy, and slept beautifully throughout the session. We were able to capture all those timeless, gently posed images they were dreaming of.
