Recently, this 14 day new newborn baby came to my studio for a session. Fortunately, as a Buffalo Grove newborn photographer, I was able to capture these tender moments for this family.
To begin, we posed this beautiful baby girl with some fall props, to show her fall newborn photo session. Also, I do have a few rainbow props, if you wanted, for any reason. Here, baby girl is featured with a rainbow and gorgeous yellow tones. For your information, all the props, wraps, stuffed animals, headbands, hats that you see featured on the blog are all available to use at your newborn session. Here, we went with greens for the bucket pose. Now, as a Buffalo Grove newborn photographer, I do have several colors and props to choose from. Also, I ask that all potential clients look over my portfolio before your session, to make sure I am a good fit for you. Here, we posed newborn baby girl in a drawer box. Ultimately, this pose shows just how tiny this little one is!Then, we moved on to some soft green tones. Also, we went with the egg wrap pose, to show off those little feet. To finish, sweet baby girl with another rainbow in the froggy pose. Agata Brannon Photography Now, be sure to check out my Facebook here and Instagram here . His personality is really starting to shine through, and I loved seeing him again and capturing these special moments 🫶
What makes sessions like this even more special is when families continue to trust me with their memories year after year. I’ve photographed Cooper since he was a newborn and have also photographed his older brothers through the years. Despite living over an hour away, they continue to make the trip for their sessions, and I am so grateful for their support.
I look forward to capturing many more milestones for this wonderful family in the years ahead 🤍
These sweet images take me back to where my newborn photography journey began over 14 years ago.
When I first started, posed newborn photography was the style. Every image was carefully planned and thoughtfully created, requiring extensive training, hands-on workshops, and a deep understanding of newborn safety, comfort, and posing techniques. Creating those timeless curled-up poses wasn’t just about taking a photo, it was about learning an art form while always putting baby’s well-being first.
Over the years, newborn photography has evolved. Today, many families are drawn to a more natural, baby-led approach that focuses on genuine connection, movement, and simple moments. I absolutely love incorporating those elements into my sessions as well.
What makes my approach unique is that I continue to offer my signature posed newborn style while blending it with more natural, baby-led moments. This allows me to create a gallery filled with both beautifully crafted portraits and authentic images that reflect your baby’s personality.
While trends may change, there will always be something special about those classic newborn portraits—the ones that highlight just how tiny, precious, and brand new your little one is.
Which style do you love most: timeless posed portraits, natural baby-led moments, or a combination of both?
