Recently, this beautiful newborn baby girl came to my studio for a newborn session. Fortunately, her parents came for a maternity session with me, as well. And, they came in from Southeast Wisconsin, just over the border, for these photo sessions with me. So, not only do I photograph in the Chicagoland area, I photograph clients from Wisconsin, as well, as a Southeast Wisconsin newborn photographer.
To begin, we started with the froggy pose, since baby girl was sound asleep. Here, this is one of the favorite and most requested poses for a newborn session.Next, we went to the bucket pose, another favorite pose at newborn sessions. Here, I love the floral touches with the yellows, a color requested by baby girl’s parents. Now, before your session, you will receive a questionnaire. This way, I can get to know what you are looking for in your session, and style to your taste.Next, we captured a little smile while baby relaxed and was egg wrap swaddled on the bean bag. And, more basket posing with some dark pink tones.Next, since baby was so sleepy and so easy to work with, we were able to get many set ups and poses for this newborn session. Here, we were able to use a new prop, with this adorable chair, for a sleepy set up. Now, as a Southeast Wisconsin newborn photographer, I love finding new props and outfits to add to my client collection. To finish, a sleepy, tummy time, yellow set up. I can’t wait to create something beautiful for you 🤍
This sweet family found me through friends who had just done their newborn session with me, and after seeing their images, they fell in love with my work. They were really hoping to get on my schedule, but had one big concern… their baby was already a little older than the typical “newborn window,” and they weren’t sure if we’d still be able to achieve those soft, classic newborn poses.
I reassured them—and their little one proved us all right 💛 He was absolutely perfect… so calm, so cozy, and slept beautifully throughout the session. We were able to capture all those timeless, gently posed images they were dreaming of.
They chose my Classic Collection with pops of beautiful color, and I just loved every bit of it. This style is very reminiscent of traditional newborn photography—soft, intentional posing paired with delicate, rich tones that truly highlight baby in the most timeless way. It’s always such a joy when families choose this look.
Every session with me is fully styled and customized. I provide everything for baby, and guide you every step of the way so your experience feels effortless from start to finish.
If you’ve been thinking about newborn photos—even if your baby is a little older—please don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s almost always possible, and these early days are so worth capturing 🤍
