North Chicago Suburbs Newborn Photos with Brand New Baby Girl Emily

Did you ever see anything sweeter than this baby girl? I was so excited to do these North Chicago suburbs newborn photos with brand new baby girl Emily. She was 14 days new when her family brought her to my studio, and just as precious as they come.

Emily’s parents chose my Pure Newborn Collection, which includes simple props in whites and creams. The simplicity and purity of this style make it perfect for really focusing on baby, and it has such a clean look and bright and airy feel. These neutral colors are absolutely beautiful for any baby and any style of décor! It’s also similar to the style I use for my Motherhood collections, so if new moms choose to do newborn pictures now and a motherhood session down the road their pictures will go together perfectly.

Although each of my collections has a particular style, I like to personalize my sessions for individual clients. So when Dad, who is a police officer, brought his police hat and asked if we could incorporate it into some of Emily’s photos, I was more than happy to do that!

I loved Emily’s dark hair—she had so much of it! And she was so good for me. We had fun trying out different poses, outfits, and swaddles while we created these North Chicago suburbs newborn photos with this little princess.

It was also wonderful to see Emily’s big sister again. I photographed her as a newborn, and she has grown into such a beautiful little girl. She was so sweet with “her” new baby. It is so rewarding to watch these families grow and to have them come back to me again and again with each exciting new milestone and addition to the family!

I would love to document your family’s journey as well! Get in touch, and let’s start planning your session for 2024!

Two exciting sessions are coming up!

Hello, Fall Minis!
beautiful white truck setup will be back this year on Saturday, October 3rd.

And then… Santa is coming to town! 🎅🏻✨
Santa will be visiting the studio on Sunday, November 15th and Sunday, November 29th.

Both of these sessions were a huge hit last year and sold out very quickly, so if you’ve been waiting for them, keep an eye on this page for all the details and booking information!

I also wanted to pop on here and share a little life update because I know I haven’t posted much this summer. This summer ended up being much busier with studio sessions than I anticipated. I had intentionally scaled back and no longer schedule family sessions during the spring and summer months, with my outdoor family season beginning in mid-August and running through the first week of November.

Even with scaling back, I somehow still managed to fill all of those dates. 🫶🏻 I’m so incredibly grateful — especially for all of my families who return year after year. Getting to watch your families grow and being trusted to document those milestones year after year truly means more to me than I can say.

The last few weeks have also been a little challenging personally as I’ve been working through some medical issues, while simultaneously sending my daughter off to college for her second year. I spent some time with her in Alabama helping move her in, getting everything set up, and soaking up those last moments together while she was busy with sorority recruitment. It was a lot all at once, but I’m so grateful I was able to be there with her.

So, if I’ve been a little quiet around here, that’s where I’ve been. I’m still here, still photographing, and I have SO many beautiful newborn and milestone sessions from this summer that I’m excited to finally start sharing with you.

Thank you for being here, for continuing to support my little business, and for allowing me to document so many beautiful moments for your families. It truly means the world 🫶
