I think we can all agree that this is the strangest year any of us have ever lived. We all had a definite uncertain few months. And now, as time goes on, there is still so much uncertainty, anxiety, unknown. One thing I am certain of-I absolutely love my job, and am so thankful for this baby boom happening at my studio! As a photographer, specializing in Long Grove newborn photography, I am happy to say that my studio is filled with babies and love and happiness…a few hours that can be spent not worrying, just happy. Here, you will see sweet baby Ryan, as perfect and cuddly as can be!
I hope reading this blog and looking at my photos brightens your day!
Precious, beautiful, and perfectly sleeping little Ryan came to my studio recently for a newborn photo session. He was perfect, slept the whole time, and made my day! As a Long Grove newborn photographer, you can’t ask for any better! When people inquire about my newborn photography services, they often ask what they need to bring with them to the photo shoot. The only thing they need to bring is the baby! You wouldn’t believe all the props, swaddles, wraps, blankets, hats, headbands, buckets, baskets, bowls, endless opportunities I have at my Long Grove newborn studio! So, all these props, including this mini baby crib, and the adorable outfit and all the textured items are mine to use at the studio. Before coming for your newborn shoot, I would send a questionnaire, to find out what color preferences you have. Typically, I tell parents to go with the colors of your home, colors you like, and colors you don’t want to use at the session. This way, the session is catered to each client’s preferences. And, another bonus with a session with me, black and white images. Now, I know that everyone has their own style. So, I typically give the option of many photos in color, as well as black and white.Like I said, Ryan was absolutely perfect, and was so easy to pose and move to different props and wrap choices. I love this combination with his skin and hair coloring!Adorable Ryan, in greens, in a comfy tummy time pose, with his fingers peeking out.To end, we were able to perfect the famous froggy pose. This is probably the most asked about pose from Moms and Dads at the studio. However, it is the hardest. But, since Ryan was absolutely perfect, he makes it look so easy!

Sweet baby Ava was 18 days new when she came in for her newborn session, and she was absolutely perfect in every way. Her mama found me on Instagram, and I’m so grateful she did.
It’s always such an honor to be trusted with capturing these first moments. Being one of the very first people a family introduces their baby to is something I never take for granted. Knowing these images will be cherished for years to come—that they’ll be part of a family’s story—is what makes this work so meaningful.
Sweet baby Finley was just 13 days new when I had the joy of meeting her for her very first photo shoot. She is already so deeply loved — welcomed by her three big sisters and her wonderful mom and dad.
What made this session extra special for me? A couple of years ago, I had the honor of photographing her twin sisters as newborns — and seeing this beautiful family again truly filled my heart. It means the world when families return and trust me to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. 🥹
Baby Finley, you were an absolute dream to photograph. Your session was filled with tenderness and so much love.
