Lake Zurich newborn photographer

Recently, I photographed this gorgeous, 8 day old baby girl! Now, the biggest compliment I can get is a repeat client. Fortunately, I also photographed this little one’s sister’s newborn photo shoot. And, as a Lake Zurich newborn photographer, I am honored to capture these moments for these families!

To begin, we started this little one in a wood basket, with some green tones. Here, I love the wood contrast with the pop of green. And, the slight touch of a flower.

Now, when filling out the questionnaire before their session, Mom and Dad chose green as color they would like featured. Just so you know, every client receives this questionnaire, before any photography session with me. This way, I am tailoring the session to each client’s likes.

Next, we moved to the bean bag for some sleepy poses. As a Lake Zurich newborn photographer, I love showing different props, headbands, and wraps for each session, to make them all unique. And, I have the ability, since I have so many options to choose from.

To finish, we laid this tiny baby on the pillows for a comfy, swaddled pose. This sweet little boy has already shown so much strength in his young life 💙

Born at just 29 weeks, he spent the first two months of his journey in the NICU growing stronger every day. Because of his early arrival, his family didn’t have the opportunity to capture traditional newborn photos during those first weeks at home.

But one of the things I always tell parents is that it’s never too late to document your baby’s story.

At five months old, with an adjusted age of just 10 weeks, he was the perfect little model. We captured so many beautiful smiles, sweet family moments, and all the precious details that make this season of life so special.

Whether your baby is a few days old, a few weeks old, or a few months old, there is beauty worth preserving at every stage. These first moments don’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful—they simply need to be remembered.
