Recently, I photographed Theo, who was 6 days new. Fortunately, he’s 3rd baby in this family that I’m photographing as newborn. And , I also did all their maternity and milestone sessions. Luckily, as a Lake County newborn photographer, I have clients that believe in me! And, I just adore watching families grow up! Now, I will see Theo for his 6 & 12 month photos again. Now, while my studio is located in Long Grove, this family travels from Chicago to see me ,and get their photos taken!
To begin, we started with blue tones, with this sweet little guy! Here, this tiny guy barely filled up the bucket. And, I love the wood tones with the blue with Theo’s skin tones. Then, since Theo was nice and sleepy, we were able to get this popular froggy pose. Here, we went with a swaddled look, with a comfy hat, in blues. Now, as a Lake County newborn photographer, I will send you a questionnaire. This way, I get a feel for what colors you want used at your newborn session! Here, we captured the egg wrap pose, for a soft, sleepy pose.To finish, we captured some sibling poses! This sweet family found me through friends who had just done their newborn session with me, and after seeing their images, they fell in love with my work. They were really hoping to get on my schedule, but had one big concern… their baby was already a little older than the typical “newborn window,” and they weren’t sure if we’d still be able to achieve those soft, classic newborn poses.
I reassured them—and their little one proved us all right 💛 He was absolutely perfect… so calm, so cozy, and slept beautifully throughout the session. We were able to capture all those timeless, gently posed images they were dreaming of.
They chose my Classic Collection with pops of beautiful color, and I just loved every bit of it. This style is very reminiscent of traditional newborn photography—soft, intentional posing paired with delicate, rich tones that truly highlight baby in the most timeless way. It’s always such a joy when families choose this look.
Every session with me is fully styled and customized. I provide everything for baby, and guide you every step of the way so your experience feels effortless from start to finish.
If you’ve been thinking about newborn photos—even if your baby is a little older—please don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s almost always possible, and these early days are so worth capturing 🤍
Just 12 days new at the time of his session, and already so incredibly loved. It’s always extra special when I get to see familiar faces walk back into my studio—and this beautiful family is one of them.
The big brother was so gentle, so proud, and so full of love for his baby brother… those are the moments that stay with you long after the session ends. Truly such a joy to witness and capture.
A little behind-the-scenes truth… One of the greatest compliments I receive is when families come back to me again and again. From maternity, to newborn, to milestones and beyond—so many of my clients trust me to document each chapter as their families grow. And that means everything to me 🤍
It’s more than just photos—it’s building relationships, preserving memories, and being a small part of your story year after year.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious moments 🫶
Some families I meet once… and others I get to grow with over the years 🤍
I first met this sweet family when they were expecting their daughter — from maternity to her newborn session, and all the milestones that followed during her first year. Then came baby Nico, and once again, I was there to document it all… their maternity session, his newborn photos, and each milestone leading up to this one.
And now Nico is ONE 🥹
Watching these little ones grow, seeing siblings step into their new roles, and getting to know my families beyond just a single session is truly what makes this experience so meaningful. Over time, these sessions become more than just photos — they become a story we’re telling together, year after year.
I also have families who have been with me from the very beginning — babies I first photographed as newborns who I now see as teenagers. That kind of trust and loyalty is something I value deeply.
This is exactly why I offer maternity, newborn, and milestone sessions — so your family’s journey is captured in a way that feels seamless, connected, and timeless.
If you’re expecting or want to document your baby’s first year, I would love to plan something beautiful for you 🤍
Happy 1st birthday, Nico 🤍 I’ve loved watching you grow throughout this past year.
