Recently, this nine day new gorgeous girl came to the studio for a newborn photo shoot. Fortunately, I also was able to photograph her older sister, too, as a newborn. And, as a Highland Park newborn photographer, that is my greatest compliment.
To start, we worked on the bean bag for some cute froggy pose photos.Next, we went with a neutral white look inside the wood box. Here, I love how her little fingers are just peeking under those perfect cheeks! Then, we did some more tummy time, on whites. Now, as a Highland Park newborn photographer, keep in mind, you bring the baby, I have all the items! Here, in studio, I have everything you need for your newborn session! Of course, we had to get some bucket shots. Here, I love the little ears on this fuzzy bear hat! Next, sweet angel baby was so sleepy, and so easy to pose, we went with some whites with a comfy wrap and hat.To finish, we used a whitewashed wood box, with the perfect hat and outfit combination. Sweet baby Ava was 18 days new when she came in for her newborn session, and she was absolutely perfect in every way. Her mama found me on Instagram, and I’m so grateful she did.
It’s always such an honor to be trusted with capturing these first moments. Being one of the very first people a family introduces their baby to is something I never take for granted. Knowing these images will be cherished for years to come—that they’ll be part of a family’s story—is what makes this work so meaningful.
Sweet baby Finley was just 13 days new when I had the joy of meeting her for her very first photo shoot. She is already so deeply loved — welcomed by her three big sisters and her wonderful mom and dad.
What made this session extra special for me? A couple of years ago, I had the honor of photographing her twin sisters as newborns — and seeing this beautiful family again truly filled my heart. It means the world when families return and trust me to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. 🥹
Baby Finley, you were an absolute dream to photograph. Your session was filled with tenderness and so much love.
