Chicagoland newborn photographer As a Chicagoland newborn photographer, I am so honored to capture memories for my clients. Recently, baby Jacob came to my newborn studio for a session with his adorable family. I hope you enjoy these precious photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Here, big sister is SO proud, and I love this moment so much! Sometimes, as a photographer, we get nervous when younger siblings come for the photo session. Often, they can be just as tired as the new parents are! But, this sweet and happy big sister made everything look so easy!
Now, sweet big sister was so happy to be the “big” sister, and hold her baby brother for these photos. And, I love how she even grabbed on to his tiny toes for the photo! Of course, we had to get some family shots, and this one is a framer! Fortunately, baby was so cooperative, so I was able to capture one of my favorite poses! Luckily, it turned out just as I imagined! Today, I decided to use some new color combinations, and they turned out great! Now, I do love baby’s great head of hair, but we had to get some snuggly shots with the bear hat on! As a Chicagoland newborn photographer, I am so honored that my clients trust in me to help create timeless memories. Truthfully, I love capturing these moments, and try to make each session a little different than the last. This way, it’s more personal for every client. Since I really liked the blues with baby’s complexion, we went back to the blue flokati blanket! And, we went with some navy on a soft blue blanket, to change things up! To finish, we had to add in this hat with the fuzzy ball!

His personality is really starting to shine through, and I loved seeing him again and capturing these special moments 🫶
What makes sessions like this even more special is when families continue to trust me with their memories year after year. I’ve photographed Cooper since he was a newborn and have also photographed his older brothers through the years. Despite living over an hour away, they continue to make the trip for their sessions, and I am so grateful for their support.
I look forward to capturing many more milestones for this wonderful family in the years ahead 🤍
These sweet images take me back to where my newborn photography journey began over 14 years ago.
When I first started, posed newborn photography was the style. Every image was carefully planned and thoughtfully created, requiring extensive training, hands-on workshops, and a deep understanding of newborn safety, comfort, and posing techniques. Creating those timeless curled-up poses wasn’t just about taking a photo, it was about learning an art form while always putting baby’s well-being first.
Over the years, newborn photography has evolved. Today, many families are drawn to a more natural, baby-led approach that focuses on genuine connection, movement, and simple moments. I absolutely love incorporating those elements into my sessions as well.
What makes my approach unique is that I continue to offer my signature posed newborn style while blending it with more natural, baby-led moments. This allows me to create a gallery filled with both beautifully crafted portraits and authentic images that reflect your baby’s personality.
While trends may change, there will always be something special about those classic newborn portraits—the ones that highlight just how tiny, precious, and brand new your little one is.
Which style do you love most: timeless posed portraits, natural baby-led moments, or a combination of both?
