Meet Emilia, the sweetest little newborn ever! Emilia was a pleasure to work with! Emilia, and her Mom and Dad, came to see me at my Chicagoland newborn photographer studio in Long Grove when she was just 7 days new. She was sleeping the entire time, all warm and happy in the studio. She was easy to pose, and did great with transitioning between set ups. Her gorgeous parents came in for a maternity session a few weeks before Emilia was born, and as promised, after I blogged about their beautiful, romantic maternity session, here is their sweet baby girl!
Of course, Emilia was perfectly content and comfortable in her Daddy’s hands. This pose isn’t always easy to do, but one of my favorites. When you have a sleepy baby like she was, it’s much easier.
Today, I was really into the soft green colors, because of Emilia’s skin tones. This neutral color palette worked perfectly!
And, I had to get some shots on the adorable baby bed…Emilia loved being swaddled. Newborn photographers with experience like I have know that swaddling is important for great photos. It looks so cute, and makes baby so happy and comfortable!
Being a Chicagoland newborn photographer, I have invested in so many props….SO many! I love having choices for Mom and Dad, based on their style, and based on the decor in their homes. This vintage basket look is timeless!
Froggy pose is one of the most desired poses that Mom and Dad ask for at my Chicagoland newborn photography studio. It doesn’t work for all babies…but Emilia rocked it! She was so sleepy and so easy to pose, so she made my job easy at this photo session.
Also, we had to have a sweet moment with Mom and Emilia safe in her arms!
Before we finished, I wanted to get some simple, neutral photos of this baby girl. The cream looked so great on her, with the adorable touch of a headband!
Black and white is so classic, and beautiful.
Lastly, we had to get that perfect family shot! Done!
