Best Chicagoland Maternity Photographer with Lovely Client Closet

Aren’t these the prettiest sunset maternity photos? This lovely mother-to-be found me online when she was searching for the best maternity photographers in the Chicagoland area. Although booking me would mean an hour and a half drive to the session, she fell completely in love with my sunset photos and decided that some extra time in the car was well worth it to capture these priceless memories. I’m so glad she did! Our photos turned out gorgeous and it was wonderful to spend time with this sweet couple as they get ready to welcome their little one.

My Favorite Location for Sunset Maternity Photos

We did this session at one of my favorite locations by the lake. I honestly think there’s no better place for gorgeous sunset photos. Since it’s summer, we were even lucky enough to catch some of the wildflowers in bloom, which added a beautiful fairytale quality to our images.

Maternity Photographer with Client Closet

All the dresses we used were from my client closet. While bringing a maternity outfit from home is always an option, sometimes it’s easier not to have to worry about it! I have a gorgeous selection of gowns (these ones are from Reclamation and Sew Trendy) in a variety of styles and sizes. That way you can have something beautiful to wear without having to shop for it. I love the colors this mama chose for her maternity pictures!

A little life update 🤍

I wanted to share a little personal update since some of you may have noticed that I’ve been a bit slower than usual lately.

I’ve been dealing with a health issue affecting my nerves over the past several weeks. It’s caused quite a bit of pain and has left me more tired than usual. I’m medically cleared to continue working, but I’m still not feeling 100%.

If I seem a little tired or if I take a little longer to respond to an email or get a proof gallery back to you, I just wanted you to know there’s a reason. As a one-woman business, I’m the person behind everything — from your emails and sessions to editing and delivering your galleries. I’m still working away behind the scenes and giving every session and gallery the same care and attention I always do; I may just need a little extra time right now.

I’m working from home today and will be catching up on emails and sending out several proof galleries throughout the day. 🤍

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness while I get back to feeling like myself. It truly means a lot 🫶

And now for some happier news…

Hello Fall Minis are returning!
The vintage truck is coming back, sessions will be held at a farm in Crystal Lake on Saturday, October 3rd. The booking link has been open for a couple of days now, and some of you have already grabbed your spot! There are still four spots available.

Santa is returning!
Santa sessions will be held on Sunday, November 15th and Sunday, November 29th. The booking link isn’t live just yet, but I already have a long VIP list. If you’d like to be notified before the link goes public, send me a message and I’ll add you to the list.

More fall minis?
Depending on how I’m feeling throughout September, I may add another date for regular fall minis in October. I’ll keep you posted!

And lastly, I just want to say how much I appreciate each and every one of you. Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, and so many of you have continued to come back year after year and trust me with your most important memories.

Both of these sessions were a huge hit last year and sold out very quickly, so if you’ve been waiting for them, keep an eye on this page for all the details and booking information!

I also wanted to pop on here and share a little life update because I know I haven’t posted much this summer. This summer ended up being much busier with studio sessions than I anticipated. I had intentionally scaled back and no longer schedule family sessions during the spring and summer months, with my outdoor family season beginning in mid-August and running through the first week of November.

Even with scaling back, I somehow still managed to fill all of those dates. 🫶🏻 I’m so incredibly grateful — especially for all of my families who return year after year. Getting to watch your families grow and being trusted to document those milestones year after year truly means more to me than I can say.

The last few weeks have also been a little challenging personally as I’ve been working through some medical issues, while simultaneously sending my daughter off to college for her second year. I spent some time with her in Alabama helping move her in, getting everything set up, and soaking up those last moments together while she was busy with sorority recruitment. It was a lot all at once, but I’m so grateful I was able to be there with her.

So, if I’ve been a little quiet around here, that’s where I’ve been. I’m still here, still photographing, and I have SO many beautiful newborn and milestone sessions from this summer that I’m excited to finally start sharing with you.

Thank you for being here, for continuing to support my little business, and for allowing me to document so many beautiful moments for your families. It truly means the world 🫶
