Capturing the joy and anticipation of welcoming a new life is always such a special experience! I loved meeting this sweet couple for a beautiful sunset maternity photoshoot on the lake recently. The best weather, the nicest people, the prettiest spot…it really was perfect!
Finding Your Photographer
This couple lives in St. Charles, Illinois but had found me on Google by looking up “maternity photographer near me.” This is a great way to search for local services, especially if you live in a smaller town and are willing to expand your search a bit. St. Charles is such a fun place and has a wonderful small-town feel. But as this couple discovered, sometimes you have to look a little farther afield to find the perfect maternity photographer.
Sunset Maternity Session at the Lake
We met at one of my favorite and most popular spots for maternity photos in Chicago. This location never lets me down! With smooth water, docks and paths for walking along, and lots of trees it has a little bit of everything. Plus, we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. There is a reason the best outdoor maternity photos happen at sunset!
We had such a lovely time together capturing this magical stage of life. There is truly nothing like it and I know they will be so glad they have these beautiful photos to look back on and remember—especially as their little one grows and pregnancy starts to feel like a distant memory! I am so excited to meet their baby for a newborn photo session soon!
