Please help me welcome sweet baby Alfred to the world! This precious, perfect boy came to my Chicagoland area studio for a newborn session before our world changed with the Covid19 virus. Alfred’s mom searched baby photographer near me on Google, and I am so glad she did! Alfred was a dream baby! His beautiful, baby, squishiness was SO fun to photograph!
So, when Alfred arrived at the studio, he was awake. Typically, I have Mom’s come to the studio and feed Baby, so that they are sound asleep for their session. After Alfred ate, he was sound asleep, and stayed asleep the entire session. Normally, parents want Baby to sleep, so that it’s easier for me to photograph, and easier for them to relax. I like to remind my parents that I have light snacks and coffee in my quaint Long Grove studio, for their pleasure. When booking a simple newborn session, Mom and Dad can relax, and even take a nap, during the session! I love when I get to see Moms and Dads, like Alfred’s, who trust in me to photograph their baby with the utmost care, while they can sit back and relax for a bit!
Oh my goodness! I LOVE this photo of Alfred! He is just so perfect! Before a session with me, I ask parents to fill out a questionnaire. This allows me to get to know my clients and their style a little before they arrive at the studio. Capturing memories is my goal. But, I also want parents to display these photos in their home. Therefore, I ask what colors my clients like and don’t like, to make sure I am meeting their needs at their session.
Like I mentioned, Alfred’s mom did a Google search for baby photographer near me, and she found me! I hope she’s as happy as I am that she found me! Alfred is a dream baby, especially in this heart shaped bowl! He simply looks like an angel here, and he was! Mom just loved the little stuffed bear, as well. I have several of these little “stuffies” as I like to call them, available at any newborn session!
Sometimes, babies don’t love this pose. Once they’re in the pose, they are ok. But, most times, this isn’t their favorite position to get into. Alfred transitioned so easy to this pose! He really didn’t mind any of the poses we did with him, so I kept changing them up. I always tell my Moms and Dads that Baby runs the show! If Baby isn’t enjoying the transitions, we stop. We take breaks when needed. Baby calls the shots! I don’t want Baby upset, so we work with what we have!
Again, this pose, because Alfred was such a good baby! I love his skin tones and hair color with the wood floor! And the rustic touches Mom loved, too! When people search Baby Photographer Near Me, I hope they see that I love rustic touches, textures, and images that will hold a special place in their hearts for a lifetime!
Mom had asked for some blues, and these blue tones worked great! I love adding textures into my photos.
I am just in love with this pose, the colors, sweet Alfred’s perfect little cheeks and his head resting on his hands!
Little baby toes are a favorite! Mom was in love with his little toes, so I had to capture this for her! This was the end of our session, a picture perfect ending to a great newborn photo shoot!

I’m Agata, the face behind the camera. Truthfully, I’m much more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it, but I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about myself.
I’ve been a photographer for the past 13 years, specializing in newborns, maternity, and families. Over the last few years, I’ve shifted my focus more toward newborn and baby sessions, scaling back on outdoor family sessions to spend more time in my cozy Long Grove studio. It’s truly my happy place, filled with soft wraps, beautiful props, and sweet outfits to make every session special and styled just right.
Photography is such a powerful way to freeze a moment in time, and I’m so honored to be the one capturing those first days, tender connections, and growing families.
I truly love what I do. Being able to freeze time and create memories for families is something I cherish deeply. I’m a quiet soul who tends to keep to myself, but I care deeply about the people I work with and always strive to make every experience warm, thoughtful, and beautiful.
Family means the world to me. I just celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary with my husband, Mark. We have two amazing kids: our daughter is about to start college at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide! 🐘), and our son is entering his junior year of high school. He plays hockey for his school team, so weekends are usually spent at the rink cheering him on with our awesome hockey family. 🏒 We also have three little Shih Tzus who keep life fun and chaotic in the best way.
Whether you’ve been following along for years or you’re new here, thank you for being part of this space. I’m so grateful for every family who trusts me with their memories. 💛
And of course, I can’t forget about my wonderful friend Christine who took these photos for us. I love each and every one of them and will truly cherish them forever. Thank you for capturing us. 🤍
Still smiling thinking about this sweet session with baby Levi
It was such a joy to see this wonderful family again—I photographed big brother as a newborn almost two years ago, and now they’re back with their newest little love.
Levi was absolutely perfect, and getting to capture this next chapter for a returning family truly means so much. Watching these little ones grow and being trusted to document their milestones is the greatest honor.
Sweet Bennett came back to see me for his 9-month session, and what a joy it was! This age is one of my absolute favorite milestones to capture—babies are full of smiles, sitting up confidently, and just radiating pure happiness.
It feels so special to have photographed Bennett since before he was born—from his parents’ maternity session to his newborn portraits, and now this beautiful stage. Watching these little ones grow and being trusted to document their journey is truly the heart of what I do. 💛
If you’re thinking of capturing this milestone for your little one, 9 months is the perfect time!
