Sweet baby Penelope was my first newborn session of 2025—and I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the year! She was sweet, sleepy, and oh so beautiful!

Mom found me when she searched “newborn photography near me”…almost a year ago! At the time, she and her husband lived a bit further away. But in September they moved to Palatine, just 10 minutes from my studio in Long Grove, Illinois. It was perfect timing!

Mom and Dad both loved my work and were excited that it would now be so easy to have me as their newborn photographer! They decided that a studio lifestyle newborn photography session would be the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of their little one.

Just as everyone’s home and lifestyle is unique, I try to make my studio sessions equally flexible so they reflect your style and the look you love. For Penelope’s photos, we went with a very simple setup: Lots of blankets, throw pillows, and gauzy curtains, all in white, plus some flowers and props in neutral colors that blended right in. The result was an airy and light-filled environment that really took our photos to the next level!

Mom decided to wear a dress from my client closet instead of shopping for her own. (This particular dress is from Reclamation and is a new favorite of mine!) I love being able to offer outfit options to new moms. Welcoming a baby is such a busy time, and providing a studio wardrobe is just one way I try to simplify the process of capturing beautiful memories.

If you’re ready to capture your own beautiful memories, I hope you’ll be in touch! My schedule is filling up quickly for the year (particularly the fall months) so reach out as soon as possible and let’s find a date and time that works for both of us. I’m so very excited to work with you!
